Actuarial Architecture Specialist

About the role

Our client, a leading construction‑architecture firm in Cape Town, is looking for an Actuarial Architecture Specialist to join their Actuarial Architecture team. The role bridges actuarial, business and IT functions, driving the design and delivery of pricing infrastructure, automation and data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, enhance and maintain actuarial and pricing processing infrastructure.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Lead automation and AI initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop technical solutions that meet actuarial and business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with governance, risk, control and data‑management standards.
• Collaborate with actuarial, business, operational and technology teams on strategic projects.
• Support continuous improvement of actuarial operations, reporting and analytics.

Required profile

• Actuarial student progressing towards professional qualification or a technically strong analytical professional.
• Minimum four years of experience in actuarial, technical, data, analytics or operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on technical solution design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VBA and Power Query.
• Proficient programming in Python and/or C#.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software deployment practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift.
• Understanding of AI and intelligent automation solutions.
