Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure timely and accurate processing of outgoing payments while complying with Toll Group's financial policies. This role supports the finance team by managing invoices, reconciliations, and cashbook activities across the South African operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process outgoing payments in line with financial policies and procedures.
• Capture invoices using the CW1 system and review trade accounts.
• Facilitate invoice payments, send bill reminders, and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain reconciliations on SharePoint and process monthly SARS deferment accounts.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger, investigate discrepancies, and verify vendor statements.
• Generate bi‑weekly reports on overdue transactions for accountant review.
• Manage and maintain cashbooks, ensuring weekly cashbook reconciliations are accurate.

Required profile

• Legal entitlement to work in South Africa.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Required skills

• CW1 invoice capture system.
• Microsoft SharePoint for document storage and reconciliation.
