About the role
Prism Placements is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high‑volume AP function for a key Retail/FMCG client in Johannesburg. The role is full‑time and based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. You will oversee a team of at least eight staff and manage more than 500 active supplier accounts with a creditors book value exceeding R150 million.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a high‑volume accounts payable function in a fast‑paced environment.
- Lead and develop a team of eight or more creditors staff.
- Oversee 500+ supplier accounts and ensure accurate processing of invoices.
- Maintain internal controls and compliance with audit requirements.
- Monitor and report on a creditors book value of at least R150 million.
Required profile
- Relevant B‑degree or National Diploma.
- Minimum 10 years of creditors management experience, leading a sizable team.
- Experience handling 500+ active supplier accounts and a creditors book value of R150 million or more.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Own car and a valid driver’s licence.
