Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

Dermalogica is seeking an organised and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join its Finance team. The role serves as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on payments, invoicing and supplier accounts, while driving efficiency through the Traild AP automation platform integrated with Syspro ERP.

Key responsibilities

• Process local and foreign invoices in Traild, verify AI‑captured data, code correctly and allocate costs to the appropriate GL accounts and cost centres.
• Manage the AP inbox and Traild queue, resolve exceptions, and perform two‑way and three‑way matching of invoices to purchase orders and GRNs.
• Handle landed cost tracking entries, debit order invoices and execute supplier payments via electronic transfer.
• Prepare and reconcile vendor statements, perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and support GRN clearing with the warehouse team.
• Reconcile petty cash claims, process staff expenses and monitor AP‑related expense trends.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end close activities for AP, reconcile ageing reports and assist cash‑flow management.
• Utilise Traild’s vendor verification and fraud alerts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in accounts payable.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Syspro, and AP automation platforms such as Traild.
• Background in retail or FMCG environments.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and new technologies.
