Accounts Manager – Durban

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced, detail‑oriented Accounts Manager to join their team in Durban. You will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting business growth through robust financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books and financial records across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyse management reports to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Assist with the implementation and set‑up of a new ERP system, driving process improvements and system integration.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls and reporting structures.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Utilise inventory management and stock control knowledge where applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping and financial management.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing management reports and conducting financial analysis.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementation or system upgrades is advantageous.
• Inventory management experience is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
