Accounting Trainee – SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA Articles Starting Jan 2027

About the role

A well‑established accounting and auditing firm in Pretoria East is seeking motivated candidates for SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles commencing in January 2027. This apprenticeship offers practical exposure to a wide range of accounting, auditing, tax and financial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and accounting functions, including preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Bank, creditors and debtors reconciliations and preparation of annual financial statements.
• Audit planning, execution and preparation of audit working papers.
• Compilation of financial statements and preparation of individual and company tax returns, VAT and other SARS submissions.
• Payroll accounting, provisional tax calculations and client query support.

Required profile

• Completed or currently completing a BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, BCompt or equivalent qualification.
• Strong academic record with good understanding of accounting principles and analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport (advantageous).
