Accountant - Xero Expert

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with deep expertise in Xero to join our growing practice in Pretoria. The role combines accounting knowledge with cloud‑based technology, helping clients implement, optimise and support Xero solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Xero implementations for new and existing clients.
• Migrate accounting data from legacy systems into Xero.
• Configure and customise Xero to meet specific client requirements.
• Review client accounting processes and recommend improvements.
• Provide training and ongoing support for Xero users.
• Set up bank feeds, perform reconciliations and automate routine tasks.
• Configure chart of accounts and financial reporting structures.
• Implement Xero add‑ons and third‑party integrations.
• Troubleshoot technical and accounting‑related Xero issues.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and assist with month‑end and year‑end processes.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management or BCom Accounting Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Xero experience.
• Experience in an accounting practice is highly advantageous.
• Preferred: Xero Advisor certification.
