Accountant – Western Cape (R400K‑R600K)

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Accountant to join the finance team of a fast‑paced manufacturing business in the Western Cape. The role offers full ownership of the accounting function, working closely with operations and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Compile annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and provisional tax submissions.
• Handle SARS queries, audits and compliance matters.
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage supplier and debtor portfolios, including ageing reports.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
