Accountant – Property Management (Lynnwood, Pretoria)

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our property management team in Lynnwood, Pretoria. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for a commercial property portfolio and ensuring timely tenant billing and recoveries.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review monthly tenant billing in line with lease agreements.
• Calculate, bill and reconcile tenant recoveries, including municipal and utility charges.
• Maintain bookkeeping for the property portfolio, process supplier invoices and keep a clean general ledger.
• Reconcile tenant, municipal, deposit and inter‑company accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accruals, journal entries and complete month‑end close activities.
• Maintain tenant deposit records and assist with account queries.
• Prepare budget‑to‑actual, portfolio performance reports and support annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and data integrity within the property management system.

Required profile

• SAIPA or CIMA qualification.
• Property‑related accounting experience during articles (retail and/or office property).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with a property management system such as MDA or MRI Property Central is advantageous.

What we offer

• Salary: R25 000 – R38 000 CTC per month (depending on experience).
• Group Provident Fund – employee and employer contributions of 4.5% each.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
