Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant with solid experience in financial reporting, reconciliations and costing within a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with operations to turn financial data into actionable insights that drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, expenses and financial variances.
• Support stock and inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis to management for decision‑making.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or BCom Financial Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• Experience with management accounts, month‑end procedures and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with costing, stock control and variance analysis is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using accounting/ERP systems.
