Accountant – Manufacturing & Export Finance

About the role

Join a well‑established South African manufacturer and exporter as an Accountant, supporting financial operations across six national manufacturing facilities. You will work within a lean finance team that values ownership, initiative and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end processes.
• Ensure VAT, EMP201 and other statutory compliance requirements are met.
• Support manufacturing and cost‑accounting activities.
• Assist with foreign‑exchange and export‑related financial transactions.
• Review payroll reconciliations and financial information from operational sites.
• Contribute to audit processes, financial controls and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred.
• 1–3 years post‑articles experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands‑on approach.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of work.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems.
