Accountant

About the role

An established international company with local operations in Boksburg, South Africa, is seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Accountant. The role involves owning day‑to‑day financial administration, supporting accurate reporting, cost control and ensuring overall financial compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial administration and record‑keeping.
• Prepare and process client invoices, credit notes and manage debtor accounts.
• Perform reconciliations and month‑end preparation.
• Track production and job costs, assisting with profitability monitoring.
• Process supplier invoices, payments and procurement‑related administration.
• Handle logistics and courier costs with supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT, payroll and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with financial, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial records and resolve discrepancies proactively.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong experience in reconciliations, financial administration and compliance.
• Exposure to VAT, payroll and audit preparation.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience is a plus.
