Accountant (CA(SA)) – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a qualified CA(SA) to join our finance team in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for candidates with up to six years of post‑articles experience who have strong technical accounting abilities and are ready to advance their careers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Assist in statutory and regulatory reporting submissions.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights for business decisions.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Support financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management initiatives.
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend resolutions.
• Participate in finance projects, process improvements and system enhancements.
• Prepare reconciliations and maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with 0–6 years post‑articles or relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in external audit, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, forensic or technical accounting is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
