Account Manager – Mining Technology (Rustenburg)

About the role

The client, a leading provider of mining technology and electronic safety systems, is looking for an experienced Account Manager to be based in Rustenburg. You will act as the primary liaison between key mining customers and internal technical teams, ensuring service excellence and compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned customer accounts within the mining environment.
• Conduct regular site visits and customer meetings to maintain service quality.
• Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and mining safety regulations (MHSA, OHSA).
• Prepare and submit month‑end, quarterly and risk management reports.
• Maintain Section 21 documentation and oversee risk assessments.
• Monitor stock levels, repairs, sales orders and operational reporting.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with branch administration on PODs, COCs and invoicing.
• Track budget performance and justify monthly variances.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related technical field.
• Minimum five years of experience in technical account management or client‑facing roles within mining or heavy‑industrial settings.
• Valid driver’s licence and medical fitness for mine‑site work.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with mining safety regulations (MHSA, OHSA).
• Experience managing Service Level Agreements and compliance reporting.
• Commercial acumen with ability to forecast and report on performance.
