Account Manager – B2B Sales in Medical & Pharmaceutical

About the role

Empire HR Solutions is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join its Sales & Service team in Pretoria. The role focuses on B2B sales within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, driving growth of existing accounts and generating new business opportunities. You will act as the primary contact for clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand an allocated portfolio of existing medical and pharmaceutical clients.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities and develop new business leads.
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals and tenders.
• Negotiate pricing within approved parameters and resolve client queries promptly.
• Develop strategic account plans to maximise retention and revenue growth.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing feedback to management.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and produce weekly sales activity reports.
• Collaborate with internal operational and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Travel regularly to customer sites within the assigned region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, business development or B2B sales.
• Proven track record selling solutions to corporate clients in the healthcare sector.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong computer literacy and experience using CRM systems.
