Account Executive – Johannesburg

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to drive business growth in Johannesburg. You will prospect new clients, nurture existing relationships and deliver measurable sales results in a technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
• Build, manage, and grow relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic upselling and cross‑selling.
• Research target accounts and identify key decision‑makers.
• Develop and execute effective account growth plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and customer information in the CRM system.
• Support targeted sales campaigns across various industry verticals.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management or a similar role.
• Experience with outbound prospecting and new business development (highly advantageous).
• Exposure to IT, technology, telecommunications, SaaS or B2B sales environments (preferred).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong research and personalized outreach capabilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, coachable and driven by measurable results.
• Ability to manage client engagements independently.
