6‑Month Food Application Trainee (Lab)

About the role

This 6‑month trainee position offers a hands‑on experience in a food application laboratory. You will rotate across different functions to develop cross‑functional expertise while supporting daily lab operations and product development.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor personal performance against defined KPIs and receive regular feedback.
• Work under the guidance of mentors and coaches to ensure continuous development.
• Apply flavours to sweet goods, savoury items, and beverage applications.
• Participate in regular product tasting sessions and provide feedback.
• Produce prototype samples for ongoing projects.
• Receive, control, and organise raw‑material inventories in the lab.
• Record experimental data using the company’s software system.
• Support the smooth running of the laboratory while adhering to safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a food science, chemistry, or related programme.
• Strong interest in food product development and laboratory work.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work safely in a lab environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory techniques and handling of raw materials.
• Ability to record and manage data using software tools.
