3D Modeller and Revit Specialist

About the role

This consulting engineering firm is looking for a detail‑oriented 3D Modeller to join its structural engineering team in Sandton. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing high‑fidelity BIM models using Autodesk Revit, reporting directly to the Director.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D Revit models of complex structural components such as concrete, steel, and timber.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and MEP teams to coordinate designs, perform quality checks, and run clash detection.
• Generate construction documentation directly from Revit models, including plans, sections, and structural details.
• Implement and adhere to project‑specific and company‑wide BIM standards and workflows.
• Support design iterations and updates throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to final documentation.

Required profile

• Proven proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural module).
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools, preferably Navisworks.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar structural modelling role.
• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field (preferred but not essential).
• Flexibility to attend online meetings outside South African business hours to align with Australian office time zones.
• Access to a reliable personal laptop and relevant design software is advantageous.
