WordPress Developer

About the role

Offernet is seeking a dynamic and results‑oriented WordPress Developer to join its Cape Town office in the Steenberg office park, Tokai. The role is full‑time and focuses on building and maintaining modern WordPress sites on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customise and maintain WordPress websites hosted on Google Cloud.
• Build and extend WooCommerce e‑commerce solutions.
• Manage Contact Form 7 submissions and integrations.
• Create custom themes, plugins and complex functionality.
• Ensure website performance, security and compliance with business requirements.
• Support API integrations, CRM connections and the digital command centre.

Required profile

• Intermediate to mid‑level experience in WordPress development (no junior candidates).
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with version control (Git).
• Residence within 10 km of the Steenberg office park.
• Prior IT support experience is a plus but not mandatory.
