Two-Year Graduate Development Programme – Onsite Training

About the role

Transnet Freight Rail is offering a two‑year Graduate Development Programme for South African graduates who are currently unemployed. The programme provides structured on‑the‑job training and mentorship across various functional areas within the rail logistics business, based primarily in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through different depots and departments to gain practical exposure.
• Participate in formal training sessions and on‑the‑job learning.
• Complete performance assessments every six months.
• Support business operations with research, analysis and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with teams to develop solutions for operational challenges.

Required profile

• South African citizen, aged 18‑35.
• Unemployed graduate with a completed bachelor’s degree (LLB or BCom in Marketing, Economics, Market Research or a related field).
• No prior work experience required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
