Transport Driver – Clinical Waste & Store Delivery

About the role

The Transport Department of NHS Grampian is seeking a reliable driver to handle the daily collection and delivery of stores, laundry, and clinical waste across multiple sites. The role involves operating a vehicle to transport items safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver stores, laundry, and clinical waste from designated collection points.
• Load and unload cages, waste bags, and containers, performing manual lifting as required.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, clean and maintain the vehicle, and ensure it is stocked for each run.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for each journey.
• Adhere to punctuality, reliability, and professional presentation standards.

Required profile

• Full driving licence for Category C1 (Category C desirable).
• Driving experience preferred; no DR10 restriction.
• Ability to work unsupervised and handle manual tasks safely.
• Strong communication skills for face‑to‑face interactions.
