About the role
Aberdeen City Council is seeking a Team Leader to oversee property repairs, maintenance and upgrades across its housing and non‑housing stock. The role involves supervising a multi‑skilled trades team to deliver efficient, high‑quality services to the public.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of tradespersons delivering plumbing, gas central heating and other building services.
- Ensure all work complies with building regulations, asbestos regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Plan and monitor maintenance schedules, repairs and upgrades for council properties.
- Maintain accurate records and use IT systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word for reporting.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement within the team.
Required profile
- SVQ (SCQF level 5) or equivalent qualification in a building trade.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Experience working with main building trades and knowledge of social housing construction methods.
- Understanding of current health and safety legislation and statutory procedures.
