Team Leader: Credit Intelligence Analysis

About the role

Capitec Bank is looking for an experienced leader to manage a team of credit intelligence analysts within its Credit client account management function. The role involves co-creating the bank’s credit strategy, proactively managing credit risk and driving performance through predictive modelling and policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of credit intelligence analysts and specialists to deliver advanced statistical insights for credit decision-making.
• Design, build and maintain predictive models, policy rules and intervention strategies to optimise credit risk performance.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of analytical outputs that influence credit policies and frameworks.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of retail credit experience, including advanced analytics, statistical modelling and policy/process enhancement (minimum 3 years portfolio-specific experience).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Statistics; a relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• Proven experience working with credit principles, policies and frameworks; Capitec Bank experience is an advantage.
