Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce technology team. The position is fully remote and focuses on building high‑performance backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in a distributed micro‑services architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithmic efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to ship features on schedule.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in software engineering.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a cross‑functional team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building reliable, high‑throughput systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, micro‑services or cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
