Service Coordinator

About the role

The Service Coordinator will act as the primary link between clients and the company, ensuring that daily service operations run smoothly and on schedule. This permanent, onsite position is based in Sandton, Johannesburg, and focuses on coordinating technicians, vehicles, and service resources.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust daily technician and vehicle allocations based on service needs.
• Update client routing for public holidays, special requests, or changes.
• Supervise technician check‑ins, monitor progress, and manage route adherence.
• Ensure teams are in uniform, equipped with PPE, and meet time and quality targets.
• Open and close tickets in the service platform and maintain handheld device logs.
• Issue and track consumables, fuel cards, and vehicle keys, and assist with monthly stock counts.
• Monitor performance metrics such as on‑time performance and job completion.
• Investigate minor complaints or missed services and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate; a certificate or diploma in Operations Management, Logistics, or Customer Service is advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of experience in service delivery, operations coordination, scheduling, or logistics control.
• Supervisory experience managing people and sub‑ordinates.
• Own transport preferred and ability to work onsite in Sandton.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams for coordination and communication.
• Comfortable using job ticketing systems and handheld device data platforms.
