Senior Technician – Technical Account Manager

About the role

Automation Capital is seeking an experienced Senior Technician who will also act as a Technical Account Manager for its key clients in Cape Town. The role blends hands‑on technical delivery with client relationship and project management, ensuring high‑quality service across a range of business technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute technical installations and maintenance activities for assigned accounts.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact, managing service delivery and meeting SLA commitments.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, from design and planning through implementation and handover.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving networking, VoIP/PABX, CCTV, access control, printing and IT infrastructure.
• Monitor major incidents, communicate status to clients and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify and propose improvements to service processes, operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation, incident records and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior technical or technical account management role.
• Strong knowledge of business technology solutions such as networking, VoIP/PABX, CCTV, access control and printing systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
