About the role
Datacentrix is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to provide third‑line Microsoft server support in its Cape Town data centre. The role focuses on Hyper‑V, Exchange and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring high availability and performance for critical services.
Key responsibilities
- Provide proactive Hyper‑V support and management.
- Deliver Exchange support and proactive maintenance.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct in‑depth system health analysis and reporting.
- Perform preventative maintenance on server infrastructure.
- Design and architect new solutions to meet business needs.
- Assist with escalations from second‑line support engineers.
Required profile
- Matric and tertiary IT qualification.
- MCSE certification.
- Minimum 10 years of senior‑level experience supporting datacentre software.
Required skills
- Azure cloud services.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- VMware vSphere virtualization.
- Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization.
- Active Directory management.
- Exchange Server administration.
- SQL Server knowledge.
- SCCM deployment and management.
