Senior Project Manager – Payments

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in payments to lead complex initiatives within the banking and financial services sector. You will drive strategic projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project management of payments initiatives, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Define project scope, timelines, resources, budgets and risk‑management strategies.
• Coordinate with business, technology and operations stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
• Manage dependencies, critical milestones and provide status updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to governance, compliance and quality standards.
• Mentor junior project managers and team members as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of senior project management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong payments domain knowledge, including payment systems, gateways, real‑time payments, card processing and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.
• Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project‑management methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2 or Agile/Scrum Master are advantageous.
