Senior Developer

About the role

TIH is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop and maintain complex application software for its financial services clients in South Africa. The role involves analysing user needs, creating customised solutions and ensuring high performance and security of the applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and enhance existing applications, analysing requirements and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot complex software defects to ensure fully functional systems.
• Perform testing of websites and applications, monitoring performance and resolving issues.
• Implement security measures such as data leak prevention and message encryption.
• Contribute to the application roadmap and align development work with business priorities.
• Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to team members.
• Identify non‑compliance with policies and regulatory codes, escalating where necessary.
• Deliver quality customer service, handling complex queries and supporting business retention.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or SAQA‑accredited equivalent.
• Recognised software development certification or degree.
• Proven experience in application development and database design.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a development team.
