Senior Deal Originator – Insurance

About the role

Join a stable company and apply your deal‑originating expertise to drive growth in the insurance sector. You will be responsible for identifying, structuring and advancing high‑value transactions that align with the company’s products and risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to uncover business opportunities that match the company’s products and eligibility criteria.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quality projects through proactive business development and relationship management with clients, banks, multilateral partners and government officials.
• Analyse deal structures, assess industry and project risks, and provide preliminary risk assessments before handing over to underwriting.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other business units to devise innovative solutions that meet client transactional needs.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams from inception to close, managing internal and external stakeholder relationships throughout the deal process.

Required profile

• A degree in a commercial or technical discipline such as Economics, Finance, Law, Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in deal origination, project financing, corporate finance, risk underwriting or related transactional roles.
• Strong business development, client relationship and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess feasibility of opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, financial and credit risk assessment capabilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional language skills (French or Portuguese) are a plus.
