Senior Data Scientist – Enterprise Banking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a leading enterprise banking team. You will own end‑to‑end model development, from data preparation to deployment, and work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train and deploy advanced machine‑learning models for fraud detection, financial crime and customer intelligence.
• Apply graph analytics and graph‑based machine‑learning techniques to complex, interconnected datasets.
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs that enable AI and Generative AI use cases.
• Perform feature engineering, selection and data preparation for downstream models.
• Evaluate, validate and optimise model performance using statistical techniques and appropriate metrics.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain models within enterprise cloud‑native platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop reusable data‑science frameworks, pipelines and documentation that follow governance standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a solid statistical and mathematical foundation.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in banking or financial‑services environments.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable analytical solutions.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to high‑quality deliverables and documentation.
