About the role

The Sales and Service Team Leader is responsible for delivering outstanding sales performance and managing the branch’s sales objectives. You will grow and maintain Nedbank’s client base, ensure profitability, and lead a team of sales and service professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Grow market share by acquiring, retaining and cross‑selling bank products.
  • Achieve branch sales targets and manage all sales leads efficiently.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness of self‑service devices, ATMs, intelligent depositors and kiosks.
  • Drive needs‑based selling and digital adoption across the community.
  • Monitor profitability reports, control expenses and apply profitability levers.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction scores and promote self‑service channels.
  • Ensure compliance with FAIS, AML, FATCA, TCF, POPPIA, BROTA and OHASA standards.
  • Manage fraud, losses and risk audits, and complete mandatory training on time.
  • Lead, train and motivate the team, fostering continuous learning and development.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in sales leadership within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as FAIS, AML, FATCA and related compliance requirements.
  • Ability to meet sales targets, manage expenses and drive digital channel usage.
  • Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety and operational standards.
