Safari Sales Team Leader (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safari Sales Team Leader who lives and loves Africa to lead a small specialist sales team while also managing a personal portfolio of high‑value clients. This remote position is based in South Africa and focuses on creating bespoke luxury safari experiences for international travellers.

Key responsibilities

• Set and drive individual and team sales targets across Southern and East African safari products.
• Mentor, motivate and develop a team of 3‑4 Safari Sales Consultants.
• Maintain exceptional client service standards and act as the go‑to product specialist for destination and supplier knowledge.
• Manage your own portfolio of FIT travellers, designing highly personalised itineraries.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture while ensuring accountability.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of direct FIT safari sales experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising or leading a safari sales team.
• Extensive personal travel experience across key Southern and East African safari destinations.
• Strong commercial instincts with a proven record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; a second European language (especially German) is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Confidence adopting new technology and digital tools.
• Salesforce experience (distinct advantage).
