About the role

The Limpopo Provincial Government is recruiting six Road Workers for routine maintenance across Sekhukhune, Waterberg and Mopani districts. The role involves hands‑on road construction and upkeep activities, supporting safe and functional road networks.

Key responsibilities

Assist with pothole patching, road surfacing and cleaning of roads, sidewalks and resting areas.
Construct and maintain culverts, side drains, steel guardrails and gabions.
Carry out road earth and layer works, road fencing, pipe laying and installation of road signs, studs and distance markers.
Perform bush clearing, grass cutting and environmental maintenance along road corridors.

Required profile

Minimum qualification: NQF Level 04 as recognised by SAQA.
Knowledge of relevant Acts and Regulations, health and safety measures and road‑maintenance procedures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in active road‑work environments.

Required skills

Operating road machinery.
Pothole patching.

What we offer

Annual salary of R170,226 (Salary Level 03).
