About the role
Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is a leading provider of affordable financial solutions in South Africa, serving entry‑level and emerging middle‑market customers. The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Queenstown branch, driving sales performance, operational excellence and a strong service culture.
Key responsibilities
- Strategy development and business planning
- Retail branch sales delivery
- Activations and sales‑operational effectiveness
- Establish and drive a service culture
- Compliance, quality and risk management
- People management
- Monthly planning and reporting
- Stakeholder engagement
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) and passed FAIS RE5 and RE1 exams
- 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA
- At least 5 years of recent industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Proven sales track record and experience in service delivery within the insurance or lending sector
- Compliance with fit‑and‑proper, CPD and product‑category requirements
