About the role
We are seeking an energetic Restaurant Supervisor to lead daily operations in the bustling CBD of Cape Town. You will ensure exceptional customer experiences while keeping the restaurant running smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule staff shifts, manage coverage and lead a diverse team.
- Plan operations based on forecasts and coordinate stock orders.
- Maintain high standards of product presentation, service, hygiene, food safety and SHEQ compliance.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints and ensure swift resolution.
- Analyse sales, stock usage, wastage and control food and labour costs.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR and suppliers, and oversee budgeting.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs and drive staff development.
- Perform regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Required profile
- Matric or equivalent qualification; hospitality or restaurant management qualifications are advantageous.
- 3‑5 years of supervisory or management experience in the food service industry.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a customer‑facing environment.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
