About the role

The Rendering Plant Supervisor will lead the Rendering department, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with quality, safety and hygiene standards. This full‑time position reports to senior management and requires close interaction with all levels of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Take full responsibility for all labour‑related issues, managing positions and handling disciplinary matters in line with the company’s code.
Control production processes, maintaining standards for quality, volume, process flow and food hygiene.
Communicate regularly with senior management and implement the department’s 20 key principles, including health and safety.
Uphold Astral’s ethics policy and lead the team by example.

Required profile

Matric Certificate or equivalent, plus a relevant diploma.
2–3 years of experience in a production environment.
Willingness to work shifts and strong supervisory skills.
Computer literacy, ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
Professional staff management and leadership capabilities.
