Remote Collections Agent – Full-time

About the role

Webafrica is seeking a detail‑oriented Collections Agent to join its fully remote team. You will be responsible for recovering overdue balances, managing payment arrangements, and ensuring compliance with credit policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Contact delinquent customers via phone, email and SMS to collect overdue payments.
• Set up and monitor payment arrangements and allocate received funds.
• Suspend accounts in line with agreed terms and prepare daily delinquent account lists.
• Manage the final‑notice process and report delinquent accounts to credit bureaus.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports and perform reconciliations of the delinquent book.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Minimum 3 years call‑centre experience.
• 2‑5 years credit‑control or collections experience, preferably in an ISP environment.
• Basic understanding of delinquent accounts, debtor age analysis and financial transaction concepts.
• Reliable fibre internet connection at home.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
