Registered Nurse / Clinical Technologist

About the role

The Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist will deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care within National Renal Care’s dialysis unit in Paarl. Working independently, the role involves assessing, planning, executing and supervising care for patients undergoing renal dialysis, while adhering to company SOPs and clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dialysis treatments according to physician prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and compliance with NRC internal policies and procedures.
• Provide optimal patient care in line with the nursing scope of practice and NRC clinical care pathways, addressing individual patient needs.
• Manage, maintain and troubleshoot all dialysis and related medical equipment following NRC technical policies and procedures.
• Ensure all patient clinical records are accurately completed, updated and filed within required deadlines and according to NRC standards.
• Apply financial policies and procedures for unit operations, including patient confirmation, billing, handling private patients, stock control and waste management.
