Recruitment and Selection Consultant

About the role

This specialist position reports directly to the Regional General Manager and is dedicated to the focused recruitment of financial advisers for the East Coast region. The role involves aligning recruitment activities with business needs and managing the end‑to‑end selection process through the internal MyWorkSpace system.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake targeted recruitment of advisers in line with regional business objectives.
• Screen and select candidates using MyWorkSpace, ensuring compliance with SanlamConnect recruitment policies.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates and coordinate interview schedules.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define candidate profiles and competency requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to Employment Equity and Basic Conditions of Employment Acts.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Commercial/Marketing or HR diploma/degree.
• Minimum three years of experience in a recruitment environment, preferably recruiting financial advisers.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of financial services distribution and relevant employment legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience using Lotus Notes.
• Effective use of internet search engines for candidate sourcing.
• Familiarity with the MyWorkSpace internal selection system.
