Receptionist & Personal Assistant to Executive Head

About the role
Nova Pioneer is seeking a friendly and organised Receptionist / Personal Assistant to support the Executive Head of its Midrand Primary campus. You will be the first point of contact for parents, students and visitors, while also providing high‑level administrative support to ensure smooth school operations.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome parents, students and guests with a professional, smiling demeanor.
- Answer, direct and make telephone calls on the school’s lines.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for the Executive Head.
- Prepare, copy, bind and file documents for internal and external meetings.
- Maintain notice‑boards, display documents and manage routine correspondence.
- Track pupil attendance registers and handle confidential documents.
- Manage petty cash and other small financial tasks.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in front‑office management or as a personal assistant.
- Strong organisational, planning and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent verbal communication and a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to analyse situations, solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and aligned with Nova Pioneer’s culture of feedback.
- Diploma or degree in Office Administration is preferred.
Required skills
- Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail (Google Workspace).
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
