Receptionist – Grade 12 required

About the role

The South African Reserve Bank is seeking a professional Receptionist to provide courteous front‑desk service to visitors and callers. The role requires a calm, organized approach and the ability to manage administrative tasks independently.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and register visitors, issue and manage access and parking cards, and notify internal hosts of arrivals.
• Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls, take messages and handle basic enquiries.
• Maintain the visitors’ register and produce regular reports on reception activities.
• Administer access‑card records in line with relevant legislation and ensure a safe, clean reception area.
• Identify opportunities to improve reception processes and implement changes within defined standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification or a Higher Certificate (NQF5) in Receptionist Skills, Office Administration, or Call Centre operations.
• Two to three years of reception experience in a corporate environment.
• A registered PSIRA Grade D/E officer status is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Operation of service‑delivery equipment and related tools.
• Knowledge of service‑delivery reporting and documentation procedures.
