Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects in Cape Town

About the role

ADP Construction is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in Kommetjie, Cape Town. You will be responsible for accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control across a range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Measure quantities from approved client drawings.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and develop project budgets.
• Monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create scope of work outlines and payment schedules.
• Secure up‑to‑date rates from suppliers and optimise project costs.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain organized project documentation and negotiate contracts.
• Provide cost reports to the director and, when required, to clients.
• Assist with on‑site project management as needed.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying, B‑Tech or related degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quantity surveying.
• Professional membership with SACQSP.
• Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
