About the role
The role involves developing academic material, delivering lectures across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and leading community‑engaged projects within the Faculty of Management Science.
Key responsibilities
- Teaching, learning and assessment (20‑30% of workload).
- Research activities (35‑45% of workload).
- Administration and leadership duties (10‑15% of workload).
- Community service and engagement (5‑10% of workload).
Required profile
- SAQA‑approved Doctorate‑level degree (DTech, PhD, D.Ed. or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Minimum eight years of teaching or lecturing experience in marketing‑related subjects.
- Demonstrated research output meeting CUT promotion criteria (credit units, supervised theses, conference presentations).
- Experience leading or managing externally funded research projects.

- Brand management and strategy.
- Digital marketing strategy and tactics.
- Strategic marketing and planning.
What we offer
- Permanent academic appointment.
- Minimum total cost to company salary of R1 386 806 per annum, subject to internal parity model.
