Production Director

About the role

The Production Director will partner with senior executives to shape long‑term strategies, drive operational efficiency and ensure the plant consistently delivers high‑quality products on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term production strategies in partnership with senior executives.
• Set operational efficiency goals, monitor plant performance and report to the EXCO and Board.
• Lead budgeting, cost control and financial planning to meet EBIT targets.
• Oversee raw‑material procurement, equipment availability and production scheduling to ensure product quality, cost and delivery commitments.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, ISO, FSSC and HACCP standards through internal audits and audit participation.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers, suppliers, regulators and the local community.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of production experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Operations Management (MBA is a plus).
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, multitask and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent people‑management and coaching skills.
