PR and Brand Coordinator

About the role

The PR and Brand Coordinator will support the Manager of PR and Branding at BAIC South Africa, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels. This role involves coordinating marketing support, managing budgets, and liaising with dealers and agencies to protect and promote the brand’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Manager of PR and Branding and manage marketing support refunds.
• Liaise with the marketing agency and maintain negative‑list platforms to protect brand sentiment.
• Monitor digital platforms, including dealer social media, for consistency with OEM marketing efforts.
• Collect and review quarterly dealer marketing plans and follow up on implementation.
• Manage the annual PR and Branding budget, process payments, and oversee promotional materials.
• Coordinate media test vehicles and manage data purchases related to Lightstone and TransUnion.
• Provide administrative support to the PR and Branding team as needed.

Required profile

• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience within the automotive industry and knowledge of the South African automotive market.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Good problem‑solving, persuasiveness, and client relationship skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict management abilities.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills with a focus on execution.
• Ability to work independently, use own initiative, and travel within South Africa when required.
• Code 8 driver’s licence and own transport.
