PM Technician I – Preventive Maintenance

About the role

The PM Technician I will join the Maintenance team at Heineken Beverages in Stellenbosch, supporting the production and cellar environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will ensure equipment reliability, safety and compliance with best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance on production machinery, utilities and facilities.
• React promptly to breakdowns, execute fault finding and support higher‑level problem solving.
• Assist with shutdown planning, spare parts management and installation of new equipment.
• Maintain food‑safe practices, proper disposal of consumables and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Provide technical guidance to process teams and monitor quality practices.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested Millwright or Electrician (N3 qualification).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a cellar or utilities environment.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and flexible hours.
• Reliable personal transport.
