About the role
We are looking for a well‑presented, dynamic Optical Assistant to join our busy franchise store in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, helping clients choose the perfect eyewear, and supporting the optical front line in a fast‑paced environment. Key responsibilities
- Perform optical front‑line duties, including assisting customers at the counter.
- Help customers find suitable eyewear solutions and provide product recommendations.
- Maintain a high standard of customer care and sales performance.
- Adhere to the store’s operating hours: weekdays 08:30‑17:30, Saturdays 09:00‑15:00, Sundays and public holidays 10:00‑13:00.
Required profile
- Must have prior optical experience.
- Well‑presented with proven experience in customer care.
- Strong selling skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Calico experience would be beneficial.
- Residence within close proximity to the practice.
