About the role
The Operator will manage the pneumatic tube system used for transporting specimens and related documents across hospital wards and laboratories. This full‑time position ensures timely dispatch, collection, and handling of tubes while maintaining a safe, hygienic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the pneumatic tube system for dispatch and collection of tubes and respond to telephonic queries.
- Report defective specimens and transport specimens between wards and laboratories.
- Receive and dispatch specimens, postal forms, medical reports, and other related documents.
- Apply basic infection‑prevention and control measures, and keep equipment clean.
- Assist with collection of DHA1663 from wards and perform miscellaneous messenger duties.
- Support the undertaker with queries as needed.
