Online ESL Teacher for Japanese Adult Learners

About the role

The Really Great Teacher Company is seeking a passionate South African ESL teacher to deliver one‑on‑one conversational and assessment‑based English lessons to adult Japanese students. This fully remote, structured position uses a dedicated platform and offers consistent, booked classes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 25‑minute individual lessons covering all CEFR levels, from beginner to advanced.
• Follow assigned shift schedules, including a 5‑minute break between classes, and optionally cover for absent teachers.
• Provide a brief encouraging message after each session; detailed reports are generated automatically by AI.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑year National Diploma and a completed accredited 120‑hour TEFL certificate or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of ESL teaching experience with a demo lesson required during application.
• Reliable computer (≥2 GHz CPU, 8 GB RAM), fibre internet (≥20 Mbps), webcam, noise‑cancelling headset, and a quiet, well‑lit teaching space.
